US Civil Litigation : Enforcing a US Judgement in the UK

As stated above, no treaty exists between the U.K. and U.S. for the mutual enforcement of judgments, and common law rules fails to deal with the issue.

Early advice is needed, particularly if it is anticipated that a U.S. judgment will need to be enforced in England. In some instances, U.S. judgments are not enforceable in England.
