Inheritance or "Estate" tax laws are very different in each country and consideration must given to international reciprocal tax treaties which may allow for inheritance taxes paid in one country to be credited against taxes in the other, or may upon disclosure of worldwide assets otherwise permit deductions against the estate and in many cases cap the amount of tax which may be charged.
