We are delighted to announce that Hannah Wallington has been appointed a Partner in the firm with effect from 1 September 2016.
Hannah came to Wrington in September 2004 when she trained with Bennetts and qualified as a Solicitor in July 2007. Since then she has developed a broad commercial and litigation practice, representing individual clients and businesses across the length and breadth of England and Wales as well as notable charities in and around Bristol.
Francis Montagu, Senior Partner said “I’m delighted to welcome Hannah into the Partnership. She is a tremendously talented, hard-working and ambitious lawyer who has played a hugely important part in the firm’s growth. She will contribute enormously to the exciting future which is in store for the firm.”
We are delighted to welcome four lawyers to the firm as we strengthen and expand our Private Client department.
Experienced Solicitors, Kay Dawson and Deborah Cable, came to the firm in July 2016 and between them provide considerable experience and expertise across all areas of Private Client work such as wills, trusts, probates and estate administration.
They will be supported by Janet Tanton who joined Bennetts as a Legal Assistant in May of this year and who has many years’ experience of estate administration and in particular the drawing of estate accounts.
In addition, we welcome Daisy Peskett, who joins us as a Paralegal having graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Law in 2015 before gaining experience at the Taunton office of a large regional firm of Solicitors. Daisy will provide valuable support and assistance across the department.
We are proud of our long track record of providing a broad range of advice on a variety of Private Client matters such as taxation (Inheritance and Capital Gains), estate management, investment, charities, wills and testamentary issues to families, individuals, farmers and other business people. We represent a diverse and expanding client base and we are therefore pleased to have recruited high-calibre lawyers with a wide range of experience and expertise to ensure that, going forward, we continue to provide a first class service to all of our clients, whatever their circumstances.
Further to our recent website announcement, regarding our recent office move, we are pleased to say that we are featured as lead story on the Bristol Law Society’s Website, where a little more information can be found.

As well as acting for clients all over the country and indeed, internationally, our firm has a long history stretching well over a century of which we are proud, of being the local solicitors for the village of Wrington and the Wrington Vale. It is our aim to continue to provide a high quality legal service for the local community…
We are pleased to announce that Hayley Sedlen has completed her training with the firm and has today qualified as a Solicitor.
We are proud of our long standing reputation for recruiting, training and developing high calibre lawyers and we are delighted that Hayley will remain with the firm, where she will work with Francis Montagu and Simon Bull, advising upon and acting in commercial and property matters for businesses and individuals.
Our local hospice at Uphill, Weston super Mare is greatly valued in North Somerset life. We are pleased to support it by taking part in Make a Will Week on 4-8 March 2013.
We, with other local solicitors, are preparing straightforward wills for clients without charge during this week, in return for donations to the Hospice of £95 for a “single will” and £150 for a “double will”.
Following the successful opening of its Cardiff office in June 2010, Bennetts is pleased to announce that it has moved to larger premises at 36 Station Road, Llanishen, Cardiff, CF14 5LT. The office forms part of the popular Llanishen Village, a small shopping centre, and is within walking distance of Llanishen railway station. The firm will continue to provide a wide range of commercial and private client services to its expanding client base in South Wales.
We are finding that UK buyers are coming back into the Florida property market at a time when Florida property prices are so low.
In our experience it is not prudent to rely on estate agents, lenders or sellers in the conveyancing process. They will not be able to explain the differences between buying a property in the US and the UK and they will not have knowledge of your particular needs or options as a UK resident. Legal advice and assistance in the drafting and review of legal documents is important and we can help you.
We would be more than happy to assist you in your purchase. Please telephone and in the first instance speak with Hannah Wallington or Simon Bull.
We are pleased to announce that Bennetts has opened its Cardiff office at 1 Deryn Court, Wharfedale Road, Pentwyn, Cardiff, CF23 7HA. This will allow the firm to better service the needs of our existing client base in South Wales as well as providing a strong platform as the firm looks to develop and expand its practice in Wales.
